SIMMERDIAL
Privacy notice
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Simmerdial works on your iPhone. The app does not send your timer data or personal information to the developer.
- No account
- No advertising or tracking SDKs
- Timer data stays on your device
What this notice covers
This notice covers the Simmerdial iOS app and its product website. Apple's operating system, App Store, and backup services are governed by Apple's own privacy policies and your system settings.
Data stored by the app
The app saves the current timer's end time, information needed to keep it in sync with system alerts, your dial sound and appearance preferences, and whether you have completed the quick guide on your device. This lets it restore the countdown and remember your sound and appearance settings when you reopen it.
The app has no developer-operated account or server. It does not collect names, email addresses, location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics, and it does not send timer data to the developer.
System alerts and permissions
The app requests permission to schedule system alarms when you first set a timer. With permission, iOS handles the alert and displays the countdown on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, in the Dynamic Island.
You can change this permission in iOS Settings. If permission is denied, or a system alert cannot be scheduled, the app explains the limitation. Foreground countdowns and alerts remain available. Playing the app's sounds does not require microphone access.
Third parties and sharing
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The developer does not sell or share personal data collected through the app because the app does not send such data to the developer. System alarms are handled by Apple's frameworks on your device.
When you visit this website
The public website uses Umami at umami.xingkaixin.me to measure page visits and understand website usage. The privacy pages embedded in the app do not load this analytics script. Website analytics do not include timer values. The interactive timer runs in the current page's memory and is discarded when you leave or reload the page. The website uses system fonts; images and sounds are served with the website.
Loading a website requires a network connection. The hosting provider may process request information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page, and access time to serve and protect the website. These requests are separate from the app's offline timer operation.
If you follow an App Store link or contact the developer by email, Apple or your email provider processes that interaction under its own privacy policy. Information you voluntarily include in a support message is used to respond to your request.
Your controls
Resetting the timer clears the active countdown and requests cancellation of its system alarm. The app tells you if cancellation fails. Your sound and appearance preferences stay on your device until it is changed or the app's local data is removed.
Uninstalling the app removes its local data. Copies in device backups are managed through your Apple or computer backup settings. The developer has no server-side timer records to access or delete.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the app's data handling changes and revise the date above. The Chinese, Japanese, and English versions describe the same data practices.
